Welcome to a vintage cine camera collection here at cinematographica.com.

The mechanical workings of a cine camera is much like a classic watch, full of moving gears, springs and precision parts. The more you learn about the construction of movie cameras, the more you will admire the craftsmanship exhibited in these unique machines.

My cinematographica collection is mainly focused on cine cameras from the 1920s to 1960s. I especially enjoy collecting the metal bodied, spring wind-up cine cameras that exhibited a rugged dependability and freed the cameraman from the need for batteries or electricity to run them. Click on any image of the movie cameras displayed below to view more detailed photos of that cine camera.
